What We Do in Four-Year-Old Preschool

Our four-year-old preschool program helps children get ready for kindergarten by building confidence, encouraging curiosity, and developing a strong foundation for learning. Each day includes a mix of structured learning, creative play, and faith-based activities.

Daily Learning & Play

Circle Time
Group time to practice social skills, build attention spans, and learn new academic concepts in a fun, engaging way.

Storytime
We read at least one book every day to nurture a love of reading. Storytime expands vocabulary, comprehension, and overall knowledge.

Art
Creative projects allow children to express themselves while practicing fine-motor skills and reinforcing concepts like shapes, colors, and sizes. Art activities often connect back to the day’s story.

Fine-Motor Activities
Puzzles, beads, pegboards, cutting, coloring, and sticker activities strengthen hand-eye coordination and small muscle development.

Block Play
Building activities introduce early math and science concepts like balance, cause and effect, and spatial relationships. They also encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity.

Sand & Water Play
Children experiment with textures and materials such as sand, water, rice, or oatmeal. These activities support science, math, and language learning through hands-on exploration.

Science
Hands-on experiments and investigations let children observe, explore, test, and predict—helping them discover how the world works.

Gross-Motor Activities
Active play such as running, climbing, jumping, ball games, and group activities keep children moving and developing coordination.

Dramatic Play
Pretend play gives children the chance to role-play, build self-esteem, expand vocabulary, and practice life skills like sharing and taking turns.

Music
Songs, instruments, rhythm games, and finger plays help children explore sound, rhythm, and creativity while building listening and social skills.

Faith & Values

Bible Stories
Children are introduced to well-known Bible stories and create their own booklets to help them remember and reflect on what they’ve learned.
